The Trust has been formed as a registered charity in 2011 (No 1144552) to assist students who may require help with their ongoing education and training by offering bursaries and other financial assistance.
The Aylesbury College Trust will contribute to the establishment of a grant scheme for individual students, through sponsorship and donations provide the College with cutting edge technology and equipment/buildings/facilities and finally scholarships for those who excel in their efforts to achieve. The object is to help put all students on a truly level playing field in assisting with their education.
The Trust is administered by a volunteer board of Trustees comprised of well known and well respected local leaders in business, academia and the community.
The Trust will establish priorities for enhancing the learning experience at the College through regular discussion with students, tutors, parents and educational partners.
The Trust has set a fundraising goal of £50,000 in its first year (2012-13), to be achieved through contact with local businesses and running events to encourage donations.
