How to get to Aylesbury College, Oxford Road, Aylesbury, HP21 8PD

Milton Keynes

  • Take A5 south towards Bletchley and then the A421 towards Buckingham.
  • Follow this for about 6 miles until you come to a roundabout signposted Winslow.
  • Take the first exit at this roundabout signposted B4033 Winslow.
  • At the T junction in Winslow take a left turn on to the A413.
  • Follow the 413 through Whitchurch towards Aylesbury.
  • As you approach Aylesbury you will pass a dry ski slope, a Holiday Inn , (at the Watermead roundabout and Aylesbury United FC on your left).
  • Shortly after the football ground, you will come to a roundabout at the ring road.
  • At this roundabout take the third exit signpostedBanbury A41.
  • At the next roundabout take 2nd exit signpostedHemel Hempstead A41.
  • At the next roundabout turn right - signposted A418 Oxford.
  • You will pass over a pedestrian crossing, then a railway bridge.
  • The College is situated on the left hand side, 100 yards after the bridge ,so turn left at College roundabout. (You will note that a bus lane operates on your right-hand side).

High Wycombe

  • Take A40 signposted Stokenchurch and Oxford.
  • About two miles along the A40, turn right on to the A4010 signposted Princes Risborough and Aylesbury.
  • Follow the A4010 through Saunderton, Princes Risborough, and Little Kimble towards Aylesbury.
  • In Stoke Mandeville, you will come to a T junction. You will notice a church spire at the junction.
  • Turn right at this junction towards Aylesbury.
  • You will pass Stoke Mandeville Railway Station on your right.
  • 500 yards after the station you will come to a roundabout.
  • Take a left turn at this roundabout - the A413 towards Aylesbury.
  • Continue toward Aylesbury, straight on at two roundabouts.
  • About half a mile after the second roundabout you will come to a set of traffic lights.
  • Turn left at the lights (one-way) then immediately fork right at the next set of lights. Once through these lights keep left, signposted town centre.
  • At the next roundabout, take first exit A41 (signpostedBanbury). You are now on the inner ring road.
  • Follow this ring road over three roundabouts, following the signs for Oxford.
  • At the next roundabout fork left - signposted A418 Oxford.
  • You will pass over a pedestrian crossing, then a railway bridge.
  • The College is situated on the left hand side, 100 yards after the bridge - so turn left at College roundabout (You will note that a bus lane operates to your right-hand side).

Hemel Hempstead

  • Take the A41 towards Aylesbury.
  • On the outskirts of the town go straight across a roundabout, with a large Esso Garage on your right. Head straight on for the town centre.
  • As you approach the next roundabout you will see a Tesco's store on your right. Take the second left, signposted Banbury.
  • At the next roundabout turn left, signposted Oxford. You are now on the inner ring road.
  • Follow this ring road over three roundabouts, following the signs for Oxford.
  • At the next roundabout fork left, signposted A418 Oxford.
  • You will pass over a pedestrian crossing, then a railway bridge.
  • The College is situated on the left-hand side, 100 yards after the bridge, so turn left at College roundabout. (You will note that a bus lane operates to your right-hand side).

Oxford and the West

  • Take A40 towards London.
  • Leave the M40 at the A418 signposted Aylesbury, the exit immediately after the turn to Wheatley.
  • Follow the signs for Aylesbury, by-passing Thame, and passing through Stone.
  • As you approach Aylesbury, you will go over a series of roundabouts. Go straight on at each roundabout, heading for the town centre.
  • Go straight through the traffic lights, these are the only lights you will encounter.
  • The College is situated on your right hand side, 200 yards beyond the lights, so turn right at College roundabout (You will note that a bus lane operates to your left-hand side).

London, the South and the East

  • Take the A41 (Junction 20 of the M25).

  • Leave M40 at junction 9.
  • Take the A41 towards Aylesbury.
  • After about 15 miles, you will pass through the village of Waddesdon, about 4 miles from Aylesbury.
  • Go straight across a series of roundabouts before you come to the ring road roundabout.
  • At this roundabout turn right, i.e. the third exit, signposted Hemel Hempstead A41
  • At the next roundabout turn right, signposted A418 Oxford.
  • You will go over a pedestrian crossing, then a railway bridge.

The East Midlands and the North

  • Leave M1 at junction 15A (Northampton Service Area) , signposted Oxford.
  • At the first roundabout, take the second exit signposted A43 Oxford.
  • At the next roundabout, take the second exit signposted A43 Oxford.
  • Continue on the A43, crossing the A5 and by-passing Towcester.
  • Look for a left hand turn, and take this road, signposted Buckingham A413.
  • Follow the 413 through Whittlebury, Buckingham, Winslow and Whitchurch towards Aylesbury.
