Parents/Carers

At Aylesbury College, we take great care through our Induction Programme to help your son or daughter to settle in happily and quickly. For many parents, or to others with responsibility for young people, it will be a new experience too. We are sure you will be delighted to see how your son or daughter develops and grows in confidence whilst at College with us. We greatly value the support that parents and carers provide and will offer a range of opportunities for you to communicate with staff working with your son or daughter.

Developing the whole person
As you will see through this website and our prospectuses, we offer a wide range of courses at Aylesbury College. However, academic and vocational qualifications are not our sole concern. In our view, a student's personal development is every bit as important. That's why you'll find most of our courses are complimented by a programme of personal enrichment. Together, these opportunities provide learners with many of the essential skills for life.

Student Identity
We are sure you will be pleased to know that at Aylesbury College we take student safety very seriously. All staff, students and visitors are required to wear their identity card whilst in the College. This gives access to the Student Centre, computing facilities and examinations. We would appreciate your support in encouraging your son or daughter to wear their card when in College.

Equality and Diversity
One of the advantages of coming to Aylesbury College is having the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds in an atmosphere where diversity is valued and everyone is treated as an individual. You will find us totally committed to making sure that you have every opportunity to reach your potential, whatever your gender, disability, faith, ethnic origin, age or sexual orientation.

At Aylesbury College we aim to foster a friendly secure and supportive environment through personal development, awareness raising and clear accountabilities. We have an Equality and Diversity Steering Group which monitors the implementation of our policy across the College. We also aim to foster links with statutory agencies and voluntary groups, and play a full and active part in the wider life of the community.
