Buckinghamshire College Group’s Aylesbury campus was pleased to host the Shout Volunteering Celebration Evening last week, welcoming local volunteers, partner organisations and community representatives for an inspiring night recognising the impact of volunteering across the region.
The event, organised by Shout, brought people together to celebrate the contribution volunteers make to local services, charities and community projects. Held in our theatre space, the evening featured networking, presentations and community recognition moments.
As venue hosts, the College was delighted to support the event and offer students valuable real‑world experience. Music students provided live entertainment during the welcome reception, helping to create a warm and lively atmosphere as guests arrived and networked.
We were also pleased to welcome Catering students from Milton Keynes College, who delivered professional hospitality throughout the evening. Their involvement highlighted the strength of collaboration across local further education providers.
In addition, Event Management students assisted with the smooth running of the evening, helping staff with guest coordination and the overall logistics of the event. Media students were also on hand, capturing interviews and filming throughout the night to help document the occasion.
Hosting the celebration was a wonderful opportunity for Buckinghamshire College Group to support a community-focused event and to give students the chance to participate in a live, professional environment.
