Shammah Rugwete said:

“What excites me the most about this apprenticeship is that I’ll be moving to higher education and furthering my experience in a professional environment, and just in general learning new skills and seeing where it takes me.”

Shammah’s employer, Arla Foods, said:

“During her placement, Shammah has demonstrated consistent reliability and punctuality, arriving on time every day with a positive and professional attitude. Her proactive approach to learning has been particularly impressive—she actively seeks out new tasks, asks thoughtful questions, and shows genuine enthusiasm for developing her skills.

Shammah has made a strong impression on the Arla team and has been recognised and supported in applying for the Apprentice Programme. She has integrated exceptionally well into the lab; we already feel she’s part of the team. She’s highly engaged with both the lab team and senior management, building positive relationships across all levels.

Her presence has had a noticeable impact—Mondays and Fridays, when Shammah is in, are brighter and more productive. She brings energy, positivity, and a strong team spirit, making her a valued member of the team.”
